DD storyboards

I learned a lot about the complicated process of roasting and grinding coffee for this storyboard. It was a bit of a satisfying challenge translating the apparatus faithfully as an imagined "macro" environment.

At one point in development,  the macro scenes depicted the coffee making process as a weather event on a distant planet. Great idea, but it never made it to the final cut.

sketch art: MITF

Jeep "Polar Vortex"

Lexus "Sports Thrillistrated"

This storyboard was created in order to block out possible shots ahead of filming at the iconic location of LA's Sepulveda Dam. Though I'm not sure of how much of the stunt was captured in camera vs cgi - the resulting spot was quite impressive.

Starz Original Series: DaVinci's Demons season 2 key art concepts

Starz Entertainment commissioned me to produce experimental ad concepts which were based on Renaissance murals. The plan was to produce a print campaign as well as a motion campaign using live actors in a digital environment. These did not go forward into production, but this was a great opportunity to work in a large scale in a very creative direction.

Storyboards for Discovery Channel's Gold Fever

The initial concept for the Discovery Channel's miniseries Gold Fever's title sequence was a 15 second motion graphic animation mixed with footage from the show. I was asked to create boards and I came up with the concept of following a vein of gold and then transforming it to a trickle of blood to work with the themes of the show.

Initially, the concept had a favorable reception but executive decisions opted for a much shortened title sequence based on the Sherlock Holmes movie titles approach- so this animation was created but eventually passed on as well.
