Animal Planet's "Off the Hook" logo and title design


The final opening sequence as it appears on the show. Simple, right? At least a month in development was spent working through many logos and concepts to get here. Working backwards through the pipeline...



Logo concepts showing materials like brushed steel, bone, caustics, rust, etc. The client optioned out of these and went for a flat look for the text. 
 

To work with the theme of the show, fishing concepts were mixed in various fonts and textures. In the end, a variant of the Carnivale Sideshow typeface, popular among bikers, won out.
 

in the beginning, we pitched a few high concept ideas including an animated opening were storyboarded by me.  Once I get some free time, I'm going to work on the one below.
